DJI Mavic Air 2 Return To Home & Precision Landing Test

Two important safety features that are included in most DJI drones are “Return To Home” and “Precision Landing” and this is something that DJI drones do very well. With the recent launch of the Mavic Air 2, we thought we would test out these features to see how well they perform. If you are flying your drone and for some reason, the aircraft becomes disconnected from the controller or perhaps you lose your orientation in the sky when the drone automatically comes home or you initiate it manually you want to be assured that the drone will come home safely and accurately. This can be extremely important if there are obstacles around the take-off (home point) location such as trees or buildings.

With my testing of the DJI Mavic Air 2 both the return to home and precision, landing is spot on, in fact, the Mavic Air 2 landed on my landing pad within inches of where it took off from. This is really impressive and another reason why DJI is the leader when it comes to consumer drones. If you are in the market for a new drone this summer I highly recommend the Mavic Air 2, at its price point, in my opinion, it is the best drone currently on the market.
