In this video review, we are taking a closer look at the DJI Protector hardshell case for the Mavic Air 2. This is the official DJI branded case for the Mavic Air 2 and although it is a little on the expensive side it is a really good quality case that will keep your investment protected which makes it well worth the money. This is the second protector case series DJI has released, the first was for the Mavic 2 Pro/Zoom and it was a top-quality case as well.
The Protector Case for the DJI Mavic Air 2 is waterproof with an IP67 rating, this will ensure to keep your drone dry even if submerged in water. It offers good crush and drop protection when life happens… and it does. One nice feature is this case is it can store both the stock Mavic Air 2 controller or the Smart Controller but not both at the same time. The case will store a total of 6 batteries, there are 5 storage slots for batteries and one in the drone itself. This case can also accommodate everything included in the “Fly More Kit” excluding the bag. These hardshell cases are not for every adventure, if you hiking into a location the obvious choice would be a backpack or shoulder bag. But for travel and road trips, something like this is ideal. No worrying about your drone getting damaged by other heavy luggage. If you like to take a drone along on a canoe trip, this is a great choice as well as it will keep your drone dry if you happen to get caught in the rain or worse, your canoe tips.
