If you are having issues with your DJI RC 2 or you would like to perform a factory restore to erase all data because you are selling your drone the procedure is very easy. Here is a step by step guide on how to do a factory reset of the DJI RC 2.
đź› Step-by-Step: System Restore of DJI RC 2
⚠️ Important Notes Before You Begin:
- Backup any important data or custom settings if possible.
- The DJI RC 2 must have at least 50% battery before starting.
- You will need a stable Wi-Fi connection to complete the restore.
Method 1: Factory Reset via System Settings (On Controller)
- Power On the DJI RC 2.
- Press the power button once, then press and hold until the controller powers on.
- Let DJI Fly App Load
- Let the system boot up and allow the DJI Fly App to fully load.
- Access Settings Menu.
- Swipe down from the top to access the system settings icon (Requires and double swipe as first swipe only brings up the system bar.) Tap the gear ⚙️ icon (Android system settings) at the top right hand side of screen.
- Scroll to “System”.
- Navigate to the System section at the bottom of the settings list.
- Tap “Reset Options”.
- Select Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth or Erase all data (factory reset).
- Select “Erase All Data (Factory Reset)”.
- Confirm your choice when prompted. This will begin the system restore process.
- Wait for Restart.
- The controller will reboot and restore to factory settings. This can take a few minutes.
- Reconfigure After Reboot.
- Once complete, reconnect to Wi-Fi and log into your DJI account. You’ll also need to link the RC 2 to your drone again.
