Is the DJI Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 Worth Buying In 2020

Earlier this year DJI relaunch one of its most popular and iconic drones the Phantom 4 Pro V2.0. This drone has been out of stock for most of 2019 on the DJI website and was very hard to come by at other retailers as well. But the big question on many people’s minds is whether or not it is a good purchase in 2020 considering the Phantom 4 Series has been around for quite some time. Well, the quick and simple answer is YES it is still very much worth buying in 2020. Dollar for dollar it is the best drone you can purchase at this point in time compared to other offerings on the market.

Now with that said there are many factors to consider before purchasing any drone. Although when it comes to video quality the Phantom 4 Pro V2.o is unmatched in its category however it is not foldable and not as portable as something like the Mavic Air or Mavic 2 series. If you are in the market to purchase a new drone there are a few factors that you should consider. The first is the price, what do you want to spend. The next is the quality of the video and features the drone offers. Lastly, portability is a portable drone your priority or video quality more important.

If you have your drone search narrowed down to either the Mavic 2 Pro or the Phantom 4 both drones would be an excellent choice as both can capture amazing content, they are both packed full of features and have that DJI quality and reliability. The Phantom 4 Pro V20 has the edge when it comes to video features and quality due to the fact that it can film in 4K 60 FPS while the Mavic 2 Pro can only film in 4K 30FPS. The Phantom 4 Pro V2.o also has a mechanical shutter which can be very important to some photographers. When it comes to portability the obvious winner would be the Mavic 2 Pro due to its folding design, it is much easier to travel with and takes up very little room in a camera bag, it’s a drone that you can keep packed in your kit at all times. With all that said your decision between the two boils down to what you prioritize most in a drone video output versus portability. But as stated whichever drone you choose you will not be disappointed.
